What is a trip to Hawaii without surfing? I couldn’t tell you - because I made sure to try it. As it was my very first time on a surfboard, I booked a two-hour lesson, and I was fortunate to have David from Surf Club Maui as my instructor. PLEASE TAKE A LESSON HERE!! this is definitely the highlight of my trip. i went with 3 of my friends & we had David as our instructor and he was INCREDIBLE!! his instructions were so easy to understand & he also gave us so many local recommendations. it was one of the best experiences of my life & i’ll definitely be coming back!!

It was definitely worth it, as someone with no prior experience surfing, it took me only a few tries to catch my first wave, and boy was that awesome!!! But It wouldn’t have been the same without the patience and encouragement of my trainer. Even though it was an open group lesson, it felt private, cause it’s a small group so he has the time to give you constant feedback. There’s also a photographer in the water taking very cool pictures of you, and they are worth the price. Incredible experienc

The instructor and photographer were amazing! They split us into smaller groups, so you never felt overlooked. They always kept an eye on everyone, offering helpful tips and making sure safety was a priority. I would definitely go again!

I had an amazing experience with this surf school. My instructor Brandon was incredibly friendly, patient, and encouraging. He explained everything clearly and made the lesson both fun and confidence-building. Everyone working there was welcoming and kind as well — from the introduction to the photographer, the whole team created a great atmosphere. I would book this course again anytime. The prices are more than fair for the quality and experience you get. Highly recommended!

Good instructor just unfortunately too crowded. There were at least 2 other companies using this same beach. Almost every wave we were side by side another surfer, often limiting the surfing ride, this really impacted our experience.

My 10 year old son went and had a blast. His instructor was David and he had a group of 3 teens and my son, all kids got up and rode waves in. My son loved every minute of it. Leilani was the photographer and got some amazing shots. All around 5 stars for this crew. The price was excellent for the length of time they were in thw water and how many times my son rode thw waves in. It was a beautiful area to sit and watch thw lessons. Earlier is better.

Surf Club Maui was fun and a great time! My wife and I never surfed before but our instructor, Brian, did a great job helping us learn. We were able to get up pretty easily and surfed multiple waves! Would recommend Surf Club Maui to anyone looking to learn how to surf!

Our instructor Frede was very patient and gave a thorough safety brief on land before we jumped into the water. The waters at Kalama Beach were gentle and perfect for beginners who are hopping on a board for the first time. We were able to catch some waves pretty quickly. Mahalo!

I signed up for three days worth of classes. I had only surfed minimally before and was excited for local guidance for my first time in Kihei as well as tips to improve my surfing. My instructor Bryan was a gem, very kind and good at building skills. Though it may seem pricy, I found it worth every dime. Felt confident renting a board and going out by myself after the lessons. Overall lots of fun and would recommend this to anyone looking to learn how to surf or just looking for a fun highlight

It has been a great experience (group of 5 ppl) for doing it the first time! The instructor helped to get to know the technique and to catch the first waves! I can just recommend it to anyone :) Aloha 🏄🏽🤙

Wir hatten eine super Morning Surf Lesson mit Brian. Er hat sich ganz grosse Mühe gegeben auf jeden einzelnen Schüler:in einzugehen und wir konnten alle feststellen wie schnell wir uns verbessert haben. Danke dafür ! Können wir also nur aller aller wärmstens empfehlen 🤙🏼🌊
