We had an amazing trip yesterday. Saw multiple groups of whales, babies, moms and escorts. We were even lucky enough to see them breaching which was amazing. We also bought the professional photos which captured it better than we ever could.

We did have the opportunity to see a mother whale and her calf, which was special at first—but we spent about 45 minutes simply watching them float with very little activity. While the crew provided educational commentary, it felt like too much time was spent in one spot when we could have moved on to look for additional whales or more dynamic behavior. We later came across another mother and calf pair, along with an escort, but only spent about 20 minutes there before heading back to the harbo

Did a tour on one of the bigger vessels, Ocean Guardian. If you have mobility issues, choose this one or Ocean Voyager. No issues with seasickness though it was a tad choppy. It was high whale watching season, and we saw several whales. A playful calf at the very beginning was the star. I was really happy with the seats we got, but I noticed some people parked their cameras in prime spots along the bow at the start and didn’t budge… some people were complaining. Beside the bow, the best views we

I was here during the Kona 2 storm. Late season for whales. Torrential downpours, flooding, brown muck in the harbor and chop in the basin. Most other tours not running that Sunday and lots of other activities closed or out of commission. I signed up on a whim as nothing else to do. I expected nothing but 2 hours of rollers and rain. The waters clears up off shore. The rain stopped. And most imports, we saw whales. Great crew and spotter. Definitely recommend PAC Whale.

Great experience. Good guides and you can cheaply rent binoculars. Unlike whale watching on the East Coast you don’t have to travel far out to sea. The boat is large and comfortable and the staff were great.

We took a whale watching tour on the Ocean Voyager with Pac Whale Eco Adventures. We were disappointed! We saw some whales in the distance. Nothing up close. We knew there were no promises that we would see the whales, and we accepted that. Our disappointment was primarily with the vessel. It was old, noisy and had inadequate seating for the number of people on the tour. Additionally, the main reason we chose Pac Whale was because they had naturalists on board to provide information about

We definitely had a good time on our recent PacWhale boat tour. Saw many whales (& dolphins) during our trip, and a few went right under our boat. Unfortunately, none were breaching but there were many good views. We especially liked our naturalist guide's (Ollie) enthusiasm. He provided much information and insight about the humpback whales and their behavior. We also liked the fact that you are supporting the mission of the non-profit Pacific Whale Foundation in protecting ocean life through

Maybe 4th or 5th time with these folks. Have done others, but these guys have biologists on board explaining a lot all day. 5 hours is just right, with 2 - 1 hour snorkel stops. Did plenty of stops for whales and dolphins too. Crew just looked after us the whole time…fun!

Staff were knowledgeable (all marine biologists or naturalists), friendly, and helpful. The best is that we saw lots of whales; mamas, babies, and escorts. The trip included dinner and drinks.
