We had the privilege of touring Kauai with Doug yesterday and honestly, this experience was the highlight of our entire trip to Hawaii! Doug was terrific - he showed us so much of the island during our time, shared stories of the history of the island, its culture, and people. Doug the tour guy is so detail on his tour and very happy that we booked this private tour with him. It felt like we are VIP. He's got a mini van and my wife and I, along with another was on this adventure with Doug. Doug was a wonderful tour guide. He is extremely knowledgeable about Kauai and its history and a great story teller. His tour encompassed almost all of the road from the northernmost tip of the island past Hanalei to the western area and the spectacular Waimea Canyon. He knows the backroads as well and showed us some neat things off the beaten path. The best way to see Kauai is with a tour by Doug. You can sit back and look out the window without having to worry about traffic or directions or even where to go. Fantastic Kauai Tour with Doug! Doug picked us up right at the cruise terminal and gave us an amazing six-hour private tour of Kauai. His comfortable van fit the four of us perfectly, and he was happy to stop anytime we wanted—coffee, restrooms, or photos. It was a truly wonderful day with Doug. He was prompt, knowledgeable and very pleasant to be with. When unexpected road work came up he quickly pivoted to an alternative route. He also showed us beautiful views and a great lunch. I would highly recommend Doug should you ever find yourself looking for a personal tour in Hawaii

We had a wonderful day with Doug touring the Waimea Canyon! He was fun, knowledgeable, extremely funny, and took us to all the must see spots! It was great to have someone there who could give us local lore as well as spot on recommendations as to what to have for lunch (hint… Try the Portuguese bean soup and don’t miss out on the cornbread). I would definitely recommend Doug to anyone who wanted to enjoy the beauty of the island without having to worry about getting behind the wheel and doing

Our tour of Kauai with Doug was the best! His knowledge of its history, culture, flora, geography and geology was incredible. We enjoyed his tidbits of the island's points of interest, ie. numerous films movies and music. Doug is so informative while still being entertaining and fun. We visited Kauai last week to celebrate my husband's 75th birthday and booked a 2-day private tour with Doug. Letting him handle the driving was one of the best choices we made — it allowed us to sit back, enjoy the scenery, and learn more about the island. Doug picked us up at our condo in Kapa'a and took us around the southern part of Kauai.
