What Reviewers Say
Don't book this company! Unreliable! Unprofessional! No show! No call! They take your money and leave you hi and dry. They did a great job of ruining my guests anticipation of a great island fishing trip! Other reviewers say there are no seats on board and that you have to sit on the edge of the boat the entire time. The boat is dirty and there isn't a bathroom door. They are prone to no shows. The captain is distracted and on the phone the entire time. DO NOT BOOK

Amazing experience. Searched internet and made calls for over a month to make the right choice. Tony always replied with honest, but upbeat answers. It's difficult to make a choice from afar, but Tony said the right things. He put us on fish and knew how to assist us to successfully land fish. The deckhand, Patrick was very good as well. We're going back. Bucket list fish (Mahi Mahi) off the list.

I just wanna say thanks to boom boom Sport fishing for the excellent trip that we had. I wanted to thank Captain Joseph and mate Liam for most awesome experience with my son grand kids and son-in-law. I used these guys a couple times and always caught fish. This time we caught over 100 pound blue marlin which is in the picture so thanks again guys. I’ll use you next time I’m back.

Just went fishing today for my birthday - and had such an incredible time! Thank you so much to our captain Kaika and Mikey for helping make the day so special! (also shout out to Bruce for being such wonderful company) We caught lots of tuna and some mahi mahi - it was a day I’ll never forget! We will 1000% be coming back again soon to catch a marlin!

My wife and i took the family to Hawaii for vacation and I booked a 8 hour private trip with Tony for 6 of us. Man what a great decision! From the time i first spoke with Tony on the phone till the trip was over, Tony felt like a long time friend. I was impressed with the size of the boat, we all had plenty of room to roam around and be comfortable and everything was nice and clean. Tony and his first mate Steve were incredible the whole time, informing us of fishing and the history of the area

I was so excited and looking forward to the fishing trip. I chose Boom Boom after researching and seeing the reviews. I was severely disappointed with our trip. Hooked into a fish early and lost it (that is OK). Only other fish was a nice Mahi that another fisherman caught. What really disturbed me was that during the 6 hr trip, the captain (it wasn't Tony) did not even pull up the bait to check on it. When we were about to leave, all of the baits were chewed on which is why we did not ha

This was a great experience. Tony and Jay were really friendly and very professional. Fishing is kinda like gambling so there is no guarantee for a catch. I was lucky enough to get the big prize and the only catch of the day with a 47 1/2 Mahi Mahi. Tony and Jay did a fantastic job at helping get it on the boat and ready to take home. Nice work Jay did on the filet job and it was fun watching these guys at their skill. The views were great and the nights dinner was delicious. Advice: Take motion

Coming from Minnesota, the land of 10,000 lakes, as a family we do a fair amount of fishing. So, when we were able to put together a family vacation to Hawaii, celebrating a big year for many milestones for our family, a fishing expedition was a must. The price Was very reasonable, especially for other competitors. We took a six hour trip and reeled in 10 Mahi Mahis. They were very polite, nice, and knowledgeable. Would book again. Was a highlight of our vacation.

Sundance and TJ were great crew members, the boat was clean and well maintained. Good communication with the company. We wanted to do a full day charter but only 4-hour was available (our trip to Maui was cancelled due to wildfires so we booked last minute). We did the 4-hour afternoon charter and were disappointed that we didn’t catch a single fish… of course that’s always a risk you take on these types of tours. It was not the crew’s fault, they certainly tried their best. Just beware that you

Booked a fishing charter in advance for June 21 2023. Paid deposit and got a confirmation email for June 21 2023. The dock was an hour drive from our hotel in Honolulu. Arrived at dock A as instructed and the gate was locked. After waiting approximately 20 minutes we called the the number in email and the "captain " said they were already out with another group. He stated that he accidentally wrote us down for June 28th. We had all looked forward to fishing that day as this was the only day avai

Same thing happened to us that happened to Steven V in his review...except we did it for 8 long hours and nobody ever changed lures or pole position. So, simply telling our experience as it happened and letting others know…that it is possible to go on a 8 hour fishing charter in Hawaii and not catch one fish.
