We are extremely disappointed with our experience with Air Maui. The way our helicopter tour was handled felt unprofessional and, honestly, quite frustrating. What upset us the most was that the company apparently already knew in advance that the flight would not take place. However, instead of informing us ahead of time, we were only told once we arrived on site. This meant we had no opportunity to adjust our plans or make alternative arrangements. Our pilot Kirk made the trip amazing. Of course the views were incredible with our doors off ride, but his interaction with everyone on board as well as the information he provided was top notch. Not sure if you can request a pilot, but if they allow it, I would definitely ask for Kirk.

Even though we had to do a different route due to weather, it was an amazing experience! The highlight of my trip! Captain Kirk was very knowledgeable about the history and was entertaining. The views were unreal! So worth the money to do this!

My wife and I have taken multiple helicopter tours and we have always enjoyed the experience. The Air Maui Odyssey tour experience was good but not as nice as we had hoped. Positives: The pilot (Drew) was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He was local resident and provided a wealth of insight about the areas and most specifically about the various valleys and waterfalls. The pilot and tour were excellent. The big complaint is that the helicopter was very crowded, thus horribly uncomfortable. It was difficult taking pictures from my middle seat in the back as others kept their cameras in my view. There shouldn’t be 4 large people in the back seat. The front seat had 2 people plus the pilot, who appeared to be crowded. The office crew was helpful and explained change of itinerary due to weather. Amazing and breathtaking beauty up close, Literally took my breath away. First thing my son said after we landed was "That was money well spent". Mission accomplished, and a memory that will last forever!

The cloud cover over the volcano prevented us from going there, but our brilliant pilot took us along the Maui coast and over to the spectacular cliffs and waterfalls of Molokai, commenting with clarity and authority on all we were seeing. A++

Went on the doors of molokai / west maui it was so much fun . parking was 8 for 1 hour . they went over safety video then gave us a windbreaker to use and googles and a strap for your phone . would highly recommended for anyone looking for breathtaking views of west Maui and molokai and we even saw whales and blow hole join off like crazy . would go again

Amazing experience. The pilot Richie was great. Definitely recommend. Doors off was awesome, definitely windy though. But wind is pushing you into helicopter, not out!
